I tried with a new installation of mw1.29.2 on Sunos 5 and found out, that if i use

/wiki/$1 then the wiki functions (also with mw1.23) - with only /$1 (what i need) i get '500 internal server error'

Can the reason be a for me unaccessible server-variable ?
